European home furnishing brand Habitat acquired by private investors
Cafom, a French furniture retailer, has announced that it is considering selling its British home brand, Habitat, to private investor Thierry Le Guénic because of its poor development in recent years. In the 2018-2019 fiscal year, Habitat's operating revenue reached 100 million euros, but its net loss reached 25.8 million euros. It is understood that Thierry Le Guénic will acquire Habitat and its subsidiaries, including 34 stores in the world (including 26 in France, 1 in Monaco, 5 in Spain and 2 in Switzerland), 3 online sales websites and more than 30 global franchise stores.
